Option 1: Delete in the app
- Open the PDFWise app and sign in.
- Go to Settings → Account.
- Tap Delete Account and confirm.
This immediately deactivates your account and schedules your data for deletion as described below.
Option 2: Request deletion from the web
No app or account access needed. Enter the email address associated with your account and we'll
process the deletion request.
What gets deleted
- Account data: name, email address, password/sign-in credentials, and profile settings.
- Documents: any files saved to your account, along with extracted text and chat history tied to those documents.
- Usage history: in-app activity associated with your account.
What we may retain
We may retain limited data where required by law or legitimate business need, such as:
- Transaction records for tax, accounting, or fraud-prevention purposes (typically
[e.g., 7 years]).
- Aggregated or de-identified data that can no longer be linked to you.
- Information we're legally required to keep for dispute resolution or to enforce our agreements.
Timeline
Deletion requests are processed within 30 days. You'll receive a confirmation email
once your account and data have been deleted. Files already scheduled for automatic deletion (see our
Privacy Policy) may be removed sooner.
